Elsie was born in December 1914 in Leigh.¹

Birth Notes

Elsie's father was George Eddowes and her mother was Nellie Weeden. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Eddowes and Mary Ann Hughes; her maternal grandparents were George Henry Weeden and Sarah Ann Breakwell. She had five brothers and a sister, named Frederick, Thomas, William, Robert, James and Nellie. She was the youngest of the seven children. She died as an infant at 9 months old in September 1915 in Leigh.¹
