Mary's father was William Calderley and her mother was Margaret Alice Mather. Her maternal grandparents were James Mather and Maria Hulme. She had two brothers and a sister, named Joseph, William and May. She was the third oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 83 on January 23rd, 1984.
