Frank's father was Henry Buckley and his mother was Ann Hallsworth. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Buckley and Patience (Patricia) Oldham. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Arthur, Joseph, John, Rupert, Ernest, Alice and Nellie. He was the seventh oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 9 on May 3rd, 1902 in Audenshaw. His burial was on May 6th, 1902 in Audenshaw.²³
