Benjamin Buckley

Benjamin was born about 1774 and his baptism took place on October 16th, 1784.¹

  Shaw Holy Trinity: Benjamin Son of Benjamin Buckley of Black Clough, weaver by Sarah his wife.

Benjamin's father was Benjamin Buckley and his mother was Sarah Ogden. His paternal grandparents were James Buckley Jnr and Sarah Cooper. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Josiah, Benjamin, John, Mary, Anne and Ann. He was the seventh oldest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, Abraham, Sarah and Betty. He died in April 1810. His burial was on March 19th, 1810 in Oldham.²

- This is the son of Benjamin and Sarah (both parents had died by 1784), but must have been born about 1774 (as next male child after the death of Benjamin in 1772. There was no other marriage of a Benjamin Buckley and Sarah, and no other baptisms recorded.after 1780.
  
  Benjamin, son of Banjamin Buckley of Shaw died April 1810.
