Martha (Mary) Brereton

Martha, known as Mary, was born in March 1795 in Gawsworth and her baptism took place there on March 8th, 1795.^1 2

  Baptised Martha, but known as Mary, who died in 1813.  A daughter Martha was baptised in 1810.

Mary's father was John Brereton and her mother was Jane Harrison. She had a brother and eight sisters, named Joseph, Elizabeth, Hannah, Elizabeth, Harriet, Jane, Martha, Sarah and Ann.  She was the third oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 18 in May 1813 in Gawsworth.  She was buried on May 16th, 1813 in Gawsworth.²
