Harriet was born in March 1805 in Gawsworth and her baptism took place there on March 10th, 1805.¹

Harriet's father was John Brereton and her mother was Jane Harrison. She had a brother and eight sisters, named Joseph, Elizabeth, Hannah, Mary, Elizabeth, Jane, Martha, Sarah and Ann.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 15 on May 25th, 1820 in Macclesfield.  She was buried on May 25th, 1820 in Gawsworth.¹
