Lydia was born in May 1825 in Walgherton and her baptism took place on May 24th, 1825 in Wybunbury.1 2  Lydia's father was William Brereton and her mother was Jane Jones.  Her paternal grandparents were William Brereton and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Richard, William, Thomas, William, Josiah, Mary, Jane and Mary.  She was the second youngest of the nine children.



Lydia's family with James Robinson

‌Lydia and James were married in a religious ceremony on December 25th, 1850 in Walton on the Hill.3  They had a son and two daughters, named George, Lucy and Jane.  There are no more children.
