Jane (Annie) Ann Brereton

Jane, known as Annie, was born in March 1874 in Over (nr. Winsford).¹

Annie's father was Samuel Brereton and her mother was Ellen Bebbington. Her paternal grandparents were William Brereton Jnr and <unknown>; her maternal grandparents were George Bebbington and Jane Hancock. She had eight brothers and a sister, named William, John, Ernest, Frank, Samuel, Thomas, George, Chris and Helen. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.

  In 1901, Annie (27) and her brothers Arthur (23, Head, Shop Keeper), Charles (21) and Christopher (19) were living at Willaston, Crewe by Nantwich.
