Constantine's father was Samuel Brereton and his mother was Jane Whittingham. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John, James, George, Thomas, Jane, Mary, Ann, Martha, Betty and Hannah.  He was the third oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 66 in October 1843 in Wybunbury.  He was buried on October 12th, 1843 in Wybunbury.²
