Ann's father was Samuel Brereton and her mother was Jane Whittingham. She had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Constantine, James, George, Thomas, Jane, Mary, Martha, Betty and Hannah.  She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 8 in August 1799 in Stapeley.  She was buried on August 6th, 1799 in Wybunbury.¹
