He had five brothers and six sisters, named John, James, Robert, Edmund, John, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah, Hannah, Nancy and Dolly.  He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 1 in September 1792 in Little Bolton.  He was buried on September 30th, 1792 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹
