William Waugh

William was born in 1843 in Simonburn, Northumberland and his baptism took place there on July 23rd, 1843.¹² William's father was William Waugh and his mother was Mary Dodd. His maternal grandparents were Edward Dodd and Isabel Barnfather. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John, Edward, Robert, Thomas, Isabella, Celia, Catherine, Jane, Ann and Barbara. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.
