Isabel Barnfather

Isabel was born on March 2nd, 1780 in Lanercost, Cumberland.¹ Isabel's father was John Barnfather and her mother was Jane Rowntree. Her paternal grandparents were William Barnfather and Mary Tallantyre; her maternal grandparents were James Rowntree and Margaret Armstrong. She had a brother and five sisters, named John, Betty, Jane, Nancy, Sarah and Barbara. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
