Barbara Barnfather

Barbara was born in 1788 in Lanercost, Cumberland and her baptism took place there on April 23rd, 1788. Barbara's father was John Barnfather and her mother was Jane Rowntree. Her paternal grandparents were William Barnfather and Mary Tallantyre; her maternal grandparents were James Rowntree and Margaret Armstrong. She had a brother and five sisters, named John, Betty, Jane, Isabel, Nancy and Sarah. She was the youngest of the seven children.
