Sarah Barnfather

Sarah was born in 1785 in Lanercost, Cumberland and her baptism took place there on April 22nd, 1785. Sarah's father was John Barnfather and her mother was Jane Rowntree. Her paternal grandparents were William Barnfather and Mary Tallantyre; her maternal grandparents were James Rowntree and Margaret Armstrong. She had a brother and five sisters, named John, Betty, Jane, Isabel, Nancy and Barbara. She was the second youngest of the seven children.
