John Waugh

John was born in 1839 in Simonburn, Northumberland and his baptism took place there on July 28th, 1839.¹² John's father was William Waugh and his mother was Mary Dodd. His maternal grandparents were Edward Dodd and Isabel Barnfather. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Edward, William, Robert, Thomas, Isabella, Celia, Catherine, Jane, Ann and Barbara. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.
