Jane Hargraves 
Jane was born in 1855 in Armley, Leeds, Yorkshire.1 Jane's father was William Hargraves and her mother was Susannah Coates. Her paternal grandparents were John Hargraves and Mary; her maternal grandparents were John Coates and Ann Snell. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named James, William, John, Joseph, George, Thomas, Richard, Mary, Hannah, Sarah, Martha, Elizabeth, Emma and Eliza. She was the fourth youngest of the fifteen children.
