Eliza Hargraves 
Eliza was born in 1859 in Armley, Leeds, Yorkshire.1 Eliza's father was William Hargraves and her mother was Susannah Coates. Her paternal grandparents were John Hargraves and Mary; her maternal grandparents were John Coates and Ann Snell. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named James, William, John, Joseph, George, Thomas, Richard, Mary, Hannah, Sarah, Martha, Elizabeth, Jane and Emma. She was the second youngest of the fifteen children.
