Marianne Whitling

Marianne was born in 1820 and her christening took place on July 26th, 1820 in Burneston, Yorkshire.  Marianne's father was John Whitling and her mother was Mary Couldwell.  Her paternal grandparents were John Whitling and Ann Snarey; her maternal grandparents were Richard Couldwell and Jane Hesseltine. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, Richard, Henry, Jane, Emma, Eliza, Harriet and Rebecca.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
