Harriet Whitling

Harriet was born in 1824 and her christening took place on April 30th, 1824 in Burneston, Yorkshire.  Harriet's father was John Whitling and her mother was Mary Couldwell.  Her paternal grandparents were John Whitling and Ann Snarey; her maternal grandparents were Richard Couldwell and Jane Hesseltine. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, Richard, Henry, Jane, Emma, Marianne, Eliza and Rebecca.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.
