Jane Whitling

Jane was born in 1813 and her christening took place on March 28th, 1813 in Burneston, Yorkshire.  Jane's father was John Whitling and her mother was Mary Couldwell.  Her paternal grandparents were John Whitling and Ann Snarey; her maternal grandparents were Richard Couldwell and Jane Hesseltine. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, Richard, Henry, Emma, Marianne, Eliza, Harriet and Rebecca.  She was the oldest of the nine children.
