Nancy Elsie Simmons 
Nancy Elsie was born on April 27th, 1879 in Van Buren Co, TN and her baptism took place in Census 1880. Nancy Elsie's father was Charles Taylor Simmons and her mother was Jane 'Jennie' Phifer. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Lewis Simmons Sr. and Nancy Caroline Beatty. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Eusebius Monroe, Jay, Joe J., Charles Evans, Foster Victor, Caroline L. C. Mollie, Bettie Elizabeth and Jennie Lucinda. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 77 on April 6th, 1957 in Van Buren Co, TN. She was buried in Town Cemetery, Spencer, Van Buren Co, TN.General Notes
