Joe J. Simmons 
Joe J. was born on August 4th, 1888 in Van Buren Co, TN and his baptism took place in Census 1930. Joe J.'s father was Charles Taylor Simmons and his mother was Jane 'Jennie' Phifer. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Lewis Simmons Sr. and Nancy Caroline Beatty. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Eusebius Monroe, Jay, Charles Evans, Foster Victor, Caroline L. C. Mollie, Nancy Elsie, Bettie Elizabeth and Jennie Lucinda. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 78 on September 11th, 1966 in Warren Co, TN.General Notes
