Caroline L. C. Mollie was born on October 9th, 1876 in Van Buren Co, TN and her baptism took place in Census 1880. Caroline L. C. Mollie's father was Charles Taylor Simmons and her mother was Jane 'Jennie' Phifer. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Lewis Simmons Sr. and Nancy Caroline Beatty. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Eusebius Monroe, Jay, Joe J., Charles Evans, Foster Victor, Nancy Elsie, Bettie Elizabeth and Jennie Lucinda.
