John B. Roberts 
John B. was born on November 11th, 1845 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 John B.'s father was John Roberts and his mother was Minerva Thomas. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Sarah Joyce. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, William M., Jackson, Jones Washington, Pleasant Harvey, Marion Karen and Sarah. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Thomas and Daughter. He died at the age of 25 in 1870.1 General Notes
