Jackson Roberts 
Jackson was born in 1838 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Jackson's father was John Roberts and his mother was Minerva Thomas. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Sarah Joyce. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, William M., Jones Washington, John B., Pleasant Harvey, Marion Karen and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Thomas and Daughter. He died at the age of 32 in 1870.1 General Notes
