James Roberts 
James was born in 1725 in Craven County, North Carolina.1 James' father was Henry Roberts and his mother was Elizabeth. His paternal grandparents were John Roberts and Ann Shackleford. He had seven brothers named John, David, William, Thomas, Charles, George and Henry. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 59 on February 9th, 1784 in Rockingham County, North Carolina.2 -
