John Roberts 
John was born in 1801 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 John's father was Thomas Roberts and his mother was Sarah Joyce. His paternal grandparents were James Roberts and Elizabeth Lightfoot. He had five brothers and six sisters, named William, Henry, Richard, James, Thomas Jefferson, Margaret, Elizabeth, Nancy, Matilda, Susan and Sarah Anne. He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 69 in 1870.1 General Notes
