Richard Roberts 
Richard was born in 1788 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Richard's father was Thomas Roberts and his mother was Sarah Joyce. His paternal grandparents were James Roberts and Elizabeth Lightfoot. He had five brothers and six sisters, named William, Henry, James, John, Thomas Jefferson, Margaret, Elizabeth, Nancy, Matilda, Susan and Sarah Anne.
