James A. Welch 
James A. was born in 1810 in Muhlenberg Co, KY.1 James A.'s father was Osias Welch and his mother was Elizabeth Rowland. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Rowland and Catherine Dobbins. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Jefferson R., George Washington, William Rowland, Benjamine J., Isaac R., Mahala, Malinda and Elizabeth. He had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named John, Keziah, Jesse, Richard, Thomas, Joseph, Sally, Mary (Polly), Sally, Mary Ann and Pauline. He died at the age of 38 on August 8th, 1848 in McDonough Co, IL.1 -
