Benjamine J. was born on August 14th, 1818 in Muhlenberg Co, KY.1 Benjamine J.'s father was Osias Welch and his mother was Elizabeth Rowland. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Rowland and Catherine Dobbins. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Jefferson R., George Washington, James A., William Rowland, Isaac R., Mahala, Malinda and Elizabeth. He had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named John, Keziah, Jesse, Richard, Thomas, Joseph, Sally, Mary (Polly), Sally, Mary Ann and Pauline. He died at the age of 79 on July 15th, 1898 in Sangamon Co, IL.1 -
