Pauline was born in Muhlenburg Co, KY.1   Pauline's father was Charles Pouley Poley and her mother was Elizabeth Rowland.  Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Rowland and Catherine Dobbins. She had a brother and a sister, named Joseph and Mary Ann. She had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Jefferson R., George Washington, James A., William Rowland, Benjamine J., Isaac R., Mahala, Malinda and Elizabeth.  She died on February 5th, 1880 in Sangamon Co, IL.1
