Thomas Nichols Hopkins 
Thomas Nichols was born on August 13th, 1848 in near Wayneville, Wayne Co., GA.1 Thomas Nichols' father was Thomas Spalding Hopkins and his mother was Jane Elizabeth Gignilliat. His paternal grandparents were Francis Hopkins and Rebecca Sayre. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Octavius, James Gignilliat, Robert Riley, John May G., Mary Elizabeth, Georgia Day, Anna Jane J. and Julietta Cora. He was the oldest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Francis William, Henry William, Louisa Jane and Cecelia Bonita.
