Anna Jane J. was born on September 12th, 1863 in Wayne Co, GA.¹ Anna Jane J.'s father was Thomas Spalding Hopkins and her mother was Jane Elizabeth Gignilliat. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Hopkins and Rebecca Sayre. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Nichols, Octavius, James Gignilliat, Robert Riley, John May G., Mary Elizabeth, Georgia Day and Julietta Cora. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Francis William, Henry William, Louisa Jane and Cecelia Bonita. She died at the age of 2 on October 9th, 1865 in GA.¹
