Rachel Salena Dean 
Rachel Salena was born on May 30th, 1847 in Beaufort Co., SC.1 Rachel Salena's father was Allen Nelson Dean and her mother was Anne Peeples. Her paternal grandparents were Allen Jones Dean and Sarah Thial; her maternal grandfather was Henry Peeples. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William Henry, Jesse Barnwell, James Allen, Oliver Nelson, John Hansford, Eliza Sophnonia, Sarah Pernease, Ann Elizabeth, Mary Rebecca and Martha Penelope. She was the third oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 2 on November 11th, 1849.1 -
