Allen Nelson Dean

Allen Nelson was born on November 11th, 1813 in Beaufort Co., SC.¹   Allen Nelson's father was Allen Jones Dean and his mother was Sarah Thial.  His paternal grandparents were Jesse Dean and Mary Ann Unknown. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jesse Robert, John Gideon, William Hamilton, Richard Sylvester, Andrew Robert, Mary Elizabeth, Eliza Lavonia, Sarah Saphnonia and Martha Pernease.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 51 on January 13th, 1865 in Beaufort Co., SC.¹
