Oliver Nelson Dean 
Oliver Nelson was born on April 7th, 1861 in Beaufort Co., SC.1 Oliver Nelson's father was Allen Nelson Dean and his mother was Anne Peeples. His paternal grandparents were Allen Jones Dean and Sarah Thial; his maternal grandfather was Henry Peeples. He had four brothers and six sisters, named William Henry, Jesse Barnwell, James Allen, John Hansford, Eliza Sophnonia, Sarah Pernease, Rachel Salena, Ann Elizabeth, Mary Rebecca and Martha Penelope. He was the third youngest of the eleven children.1 -
