Joseph E. Shipton 
Joseph E. was born in 1812 in GA. Joseph E.'s father was Jesse Shipton and his mother is Julia Davis. His paternal grandfather is Peter Shipton and his paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Easton. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Francis, John, Jesse, William Riley, Dudley S., Mary Ann, Sarah, Julia and Sylvania. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.
