Note: In the 1850 census for Dubuque Co., Iowa she lists her age as 46 making her born in 1804 in South Carolina, so her father Jesse would have to have been born well before then.
They had six sons and four daughters, named Francis, Joseph E., John, Jesse, William Riley, Dudley S., Mary Ann, Sarah, Julia and Sylvania.

Jesse Shipton
Jesse was born on April 26th, 1820 in AL. He died at the age of 56 on June 19th, 1876 in IL.
William Riley Shipton
William Riley was born on May 15th, 1825. He died at the age of 45 in 1870 in CA.
Sylvania Shipton
Sylvania was born on December 27th, 1827. She died at the age of 22 on June 11th, 1850.
