Martha Jane Rennels

Martha Jane was born on June 29th, 1839 in Hutton Twp., Coles Co., IL. Martha Jane's father was James+ Rennels and her mother was Mary+ Connelly. Her paternal grandparents were John+ Rennels and Nancy+ Ewing; her maternal grandparents were Joel Jackson+ Connelly and Effie+ Pennington. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Henry Leatherman, Edmund, John Pennington+, William Riley, Joel Jackson, Rebecca Ann, Sarah Elizabeth and Mahala Pearl. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 17 on July 10th, 1856 in Hutton Twp., Coles Co., IL.
