John Mikels 
John was born on July 7th, 1799 in Wilkes Co., NC. John's father was David Hugh Michael and his mother was Lucinda Doty. His paternal grandfather was Christian Michael and his paternal grandmother is Maria Barbara Eisenhauer. He had two brothers and four sisters, named David Hugh, Moses Loren, Hannah, Sarah, Lucinda and Rebecca. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 65 in 1864 in Greentop, Schuyler Co., MO.General Notes
