David Hugh was born on April 4th, 1772 in Dauphin Co., PA. David Hugh's father was Christian Michael and his mother is Maria Barbara Eisenhauer. His paternal grandparents are Johann Conrad+ Michell and Nm+ X; his maternal grandparents were Johann Peter Eisenhauer and Elizabeth Graff. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, John, Henry, Maria Barbara and Daughter. He was the third oldest of the six children.
