George Washington was born on July 9th, 1874 in Adair Co., MO. George Washington's father was John Noah Mikels and his mother was Missouri Edwards. His paternal grandparents were Hugh Mikels and Charity Ann Scholl; his maternal grandparents were John Edwards and Mary Williams. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named William Albert, Barnum B., Charles Edward, John Noah, Jesse Boone, Sarah Jane, Eliza Ellen, Dora Bell, Cornelia H., Elizabeth, Mary Alice, Grace and Anna M.. He was the fifth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 84 on December 22nd, 1958 in Adair Co., MO.General Notes
