Elizabeth was born on May 9th, 1867 in Adair Co., MO. Elizabeth's father was John Noah Mikels and her mother was Missouri Edwards. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh Mikels and Charity Ann Scholl; her maternal grandparents were John Edwards and Mary Williams. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named William Albert, Barnum B., Charles Edward, George Washington, John Noah, Jesse Boone, Sarah Jane, Eliza Ellen, Dora Bell, Cornelia H., Mary Alice, Grace and Anna M.. She was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 70 on September 14th, 1937 in Terra Haute, Vico Co., IN.General Notes
