Her paternal grandparents were Hugh Mikels and Charity Ann Scholl; her maternal grandparents were John Edwards and Mary Williams. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named William Albert, Barnum B., Charles Edward, George Washington, John Noah, Jesse Boone, Sarah Jane, Eliza Ellen, Cornelia H., Elizabeth, Mary Alice, Grace and Anna M.. She was the fifth oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 66 on October 15th, 1929 in Connelsville, Adair Co., MO.-
