Robert, known as "the Burgundian"; le Bourguignon, was born in 1035 in Nevers, Nièvre, France.  "the Burgundian"; le Bourguignon's father was Count Renaud I of Nevers & Auxerre and his mother was Princess Adelaide Havoise Capet of France.  His paternal grandparents were Count Landeric de Nevers III of Auxerre and Mathilda de Burgundy; his maternal grandparents were King Robert ("the Pious") Capet II and Constance de Toulouse. He had two brothers named William and William.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-sister named Alice.  He died at the age of 63 in 1098 in Kreuznach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Preussen.


"the Burgundian"; le Bourguignon's family with Heiress Blanch-Avoise de Sable

‌"the Burgundian"; le Bourguignon and Blanch-Avoise were married in a religious ceremony on August 7th, 1057.  They had a son and two daughters, named Robert I Vestrol, Burgundia and Beatrix.
