Frederic was born on December 26th, 1194 in Jesi, Ancona, Papal States, Germany.  Frederic's father was Emperor Henri de Hohenstaufen VI of the Holy Roman Empire and his mother was Constance de Hauteville.  His paternal grandparents were Emperor Frederich von Hohenstaufen III of the Holy Roman Empire and Beatrix de Bourgogne; his maternal grandparents were King Roger de Hauteville II of Sicily and Beatrix de Rethel.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 56 in 1250.

‌Frederic and Blance were married in a religious ceremony in 1232.  They had a son named Manfredo.
