Conrad was born in 0825 in Burgundy, France.  Conrad's father was Count Conrad d'Auxerre I of Argenau, Linzgau & Paris and his mother was Princess Adelheid de Tours of the Holy Roman Empire.  His paternal grandparents were Count Welf von Eritgau I of Andechs and Heilwig von Saxony; his maternal grandparents were Emperor Louis ("the Pious") I of Aquitaine and Empress Irmengard of Hesbain. He had two brothers and three sisters, named "the Justiciar", Welf, Eve, Judith and Burgundy. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Robert, Robert, Eudo and Regelinde.


Conrad's first family with Ermentrude d'Alsace

‌Conrad and Ermentrude were married in a religious ceremony in 0825.  They had a son and a daughter, named Rudolf and Adelaide.


Conrad's second family with Judith di Friuli

They had a daughter named Adalgunde.
