James A. Keahey 
James A. was born in 1850 in Mississippi.1 James A.'s father was John Robert Jackson Keahey and his mother was Martha Slay. His paternal grandparents were George Jackson Keahey and Margaret Keahey; his maternal grandparents were John Slay and Elizabeth Sumerall. He had six brothers and four sisters, named William, George Jefferson, Alvia Wiggin, John Thomas, Joseph Henry, Benjamin Franklin, Margaret, Amanda Jane, Frances Indiana and Martha. He died at the age of 26 on September 14th, 1876 in Hillsboro, Mississippi.1 General Notes
