Elizabeth Ann was born in 1760 in Chatham , North Carolina.1 Elizabeth Ann's father was William Thompson and her mother was Hannah Bell. Her maternal grandparents were JOHN Bell and HANNAH STOKES. She had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Balaam, William, Susannah, Mary Martha, Sarah and Hannah. She was the youngest of the eight children.
